Hines Marsh extends into Leadbetter Point State Park, and is integrally related to the adjacent Willapa  National Wildlife Refuge.  According to the Pacific County in 1992, the interdunal wetlands serve as a recharge area for local drinking water.  Leadbetter Point is designated an Important Bird Area by National Audubon Society.  (Photo courtesy of Dick Parker.)
